Lee Kvern, CAA Writer-in-residence, sets up digs at Owl’s Nest

Local author Lee Kvern has been selected as a Canadian Author’s Association (Alberta Branch) Writer-in-Residence.  She will hold “office hours” at Owl’s Nest every Friday from 12:00pm to 2:00pm between October and May (with a short break in December).

You can submit your work in advance for Lee’s feedback or just stop by to chat.  (Writers who have book appointments have priority: please contact Lee at cwir@canauthorsalberta.ca to book ahead.)

Lee Kvern novels Afterall and The Matter of Sylvie were both shortlisted for the Alberta Book Awards, and Sylvie was long-listed for the Ottawa Relit Award. Among her celebrated short stories are a National winner of the CBC Literary Awards, stories nominated for the Howard ‘O’Hagan Award, and a finalist in Malahat Open Season. Another of Lee’s recent stories finished runner-up in the Lush Triumphant Literary Awards.  Her work has twice appeared in Alberta Anthology.
